The Samsung Genio is one of many ‘Smartphones’ that have been released into the global communications market in the past few months, and it is one of the most advanced of its kind. The Samsung Genio comes with a very large number of new and technologically advanced features, including a very responsive touch screen and heightened chance for social networking integration. The Samsung Genio has a number of different versions, and can therefore also be found under the names Genio Touch and Samsung S3650. Although all these phones have a very subtle differences, which means they are better and more suited to different people, and different areas of the mobile market, they are all essentially of the same style, and do many of the same things. Which of these phones is best and more appropriate lies completely with the buyer themselves. The Samsung Genio, in all its variations, was released to the public in October last year, 2009. It was immediately received well by the public, because of its good picture resolution and fastly responding touch screen feature. It also holds a two megapixel digital camera, as well as having Bluetooth, the social chatting software, already installed. There are also increased capabilities for social networking, much more than there are on other mobile phones of this kind. Increased chance for social networking means that owners of the Samsung Genio will be able to easily stay connected to their friends and family via Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, wherever they happen to be. Aside from these popular features is a physical aspect of the phone, which has not been offered with a large number of handsets in the past. This unique feature is that the back part of the phone can be changed round, as different colours and styles are available –meaning that the Samsung N900 can reflect their user’s personality, wherever they might be.

3G technology is now becoming standard in most mobile phones. We can now browse the internet at much faster speeds than a year or two ago and you can imagine it will only improve in the near future. Mobile phone technology is one of the fastest growing of all electronic parts. We’ve become accustomed to the many features that are now standard on mobile phones. If you sit and think for a moment how much a mobile phone can do, all packed into a small rectangular shaped device, it’s truly astounding.

3G technology is a vast improvement from 2G technology. Firstly, 3G allows you to view web pages and download information very quickly compared to its earlier predecessor. Depending on your signal, you can download as fast as 144 kbps which is amazing. Almost every major mobile phone brand now uses 3G in most of their product range. A few examples of mobiles that use 3G include: the Apple iPhone, the Blackberry Storm 9500, The LG GC9000 Viewty, the Nokia N97 and the HTC Hero.

You can do everything at much faster speeds than before like downloading data or playing 3D video games. Browsing the internet with 2G technology used to be somewhat labourious but with 3G it’s like going from dial up to broadband, there really is no comparison. With so many mobile manufacturers offering 3G in many of their handsets, consumers really do benefit. If 3G is now, I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Let’s face it, the more mobile phone manufacturers continue to produce amazing mobile phones that are feature packed beyond our wildest imaginations, the more we demand bigger and better features. We consumers are spoiled if you ask me. But, you won’t see me complaining because mobile phone technology continues to amaze even the most techie individuals. Now that we can view YouTube and other online web data on our mobile phones the more we can enjoy films and photos.

However, wouldn’t it be nice to have a phone that had a nice big screen for watching your favourite films and videos? Well, you’re prayers have been answered with the HTC HD2! It boasts a massive 4.3 inch cinematic screen displaying 480 x 800 pixels and 65 million colours for a bright, crips, colourful resolution. It comes with a 5 megapixel camera including an ambient light sensor. The camera can take snap shots with a respectable resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels.

The music player in the HTC HD2 lets you play WMA, MP3 and FM radio. It comes with the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional OS with 1 GB processor. Connect straight away by using 3G, EDGE, HSCSD, WLAN and GPRS. You’ll get over 5 hours of talk time and nearly 400 hours of standby time.

If you’ve never owned an HTC, you should go into a shop like Carphone Warehouse and have a look at them in person. These are superb phones and I see lots of good thing continue to come out of the HTC camp in the near future.

Sony has always been known for producing high quality sound systems. Back in the early 1980s when the walkman made its way to store shelves it was a massive hit, much like the iPhone over 20 years later. These portable music devices may seem archaic now but the idea was revolutionary. Sony has kept this innovative spirit and created 2 fantastic walkman phones. This article will highlight the features of both the W595 and the W995.

The W595 comes stock with several music features including shake control which lets you change to the next song or track simply by shaking your mobile. How cool is that? But, that’s not the best part. The Sony Ericsson W595 comes with TrackID, Album Art, FM Stereo, AM Radio, PlayNow and Mega Bass among others. Music lovers would already be satisfied with these features but the W595 also comes with a generous 3.2 megapixel camera including a 2.5x digital zoom! Naturally, you get all the modern connectivity you’d expect from a new mobile such as Bluetooth, GPRS, 3G HSDPA and more.

The W995 is another great phone by the music experts. It comes 3G enabled but also has an amazing 8.1 megapixel camera as well as an advanced music player. The walkman built into the Sony Ericsson W995 uses Walkman 4.0 technology which also allow you to watch YouTube videos. Internal memory is 118MB but considering it’s an entertainment mobile, you’ll soon use that up quickly. No worries though, the phone comes with a massive 8GB Memory Stick included.

So, if it’s entertainment you want in a mobile phone, look no further than the Sony Ericsson W595 and W995 handsets.

When Sony Ericsson released their Satio model, it was hailed as the best Smart Phone to hit the market. The Satio is said to have revolutionised the mobile entertainment due to it’s high quality combination of camera and music functionality. Boasting one of the best cameras on the market today, the Satio deserves bragging rights with an incredible 12 megapixel camera, effectively blowing the competition out of the water in this department. If you like wide screen mobiles, then you certainly will have plenty to cheer about as the Satio has a massive 3.5 inch TFT screen.

Having a great camera is one thing but to make the Sony Ericsson even better is it has 12x zoom, face detection, Xenon lighting and advanced photo and editing tools. If you’re an avid fan of taking photos with your camera then you won’t be disappointed with the quality this mobile can muster. You can even remove red eye as well as capture those precious moments on the move with its built in image stabiliser. Camera buffs will appreciate all these features for sure.

Enjoy all the photos with an impressive 16 million colour, 640 x 360 screen resolution. Watch streaming video and listen to FM or your own collection of music and never lose track of where you are as the Satio GPS will always keep you from getting lost.

We just can’t say enough about the new Sony Ericsson Satio. Can’t wait to see what else the mobile giant has up their clever sleeves.

Today’s mobile phones are more feature packed than ever. What’s interesting is that the impressive features and operating systems we see today, including the Apple, Android, and Windows operating systems, they are almost yesterday’s technology. I say that because we can only use and experience what’s available to buy right now but behind the scenes the major mobile phone companies are working on the latest and greatest technology which will surpass what’s available now. One of the greatest innovations, and one that had its day coming, is the introduction of the Windows OS handset.

For example, the HTC Touch Pro 2 is one of the latest phones to have the Windows OS in the UK. It has a large 3.6 inch TFT display and includes the accelerometer sensor which allows for auto-rotation and a QWERTY keyboard. Under the bonnet so to speak it includes the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS which allows for reading Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents. This is ideal for the busy professional as well as the student user.

Another great phone is the Motorola Q 9H which also has the Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard OS. A somewhat smaller phone, it has a 2.4 inch TFT screen and incorporates GPRS and EDGE technology. Samsung’s Omnia2 and Saga also use the Windows OS and each phone boasts its own unqiue features. Obviously the iPhone runs on the Apple OS but since Microsoft still dominates the PC world, having a Windows OS handset makes these types of mobiles ideal for almost every user.

One of the latest cool mobile phones to come from Samsung is their range that offers touchscreen technology. Take for instance the Samsung Genio Touch which is a touchscreen handset that offers plenty of features to satisfy even the most discerning of mobile phone fanatics. The Genio Touch only weighs 93 grams and is not as large as an iPhone so it’ll fit easily into your pocket. The TFT touchscreen is about 2.8 inches which is a pretty good size and it also displays over 16 million colours for vibrant, rich, and clear pictures and video.

Network connectivity is very good as it supports quad band GSM which will let you connect via global roaming. Naturally the Genio comes with bluetooth technology and a USB facility. The camera is only 2 megapixels but takes surprisingly quality photos. The camera even comes with digital zoom and doubles as a video camera as well. Listen to your favourites tunes in MP3 format or tune into FM radio.

It has an internal memory of 50 MB which is a good start but if you plan on storing a lot of music, photos and especially video, you’ll want to upgrade the memory with an external SD card. Since you can take great pictures, why not connect to sites like Facebook and Twitter or watch movies any time you like on YouTube. Keep in touch with friends and family on your Samsung Genio Touch as it stores up to 1000 names. There are lots of great features to this handset and Samsung seem to tick most of the boxes.
